Elle N'Attend Plus
This image tells the story of the relationship between 19th century French sculptors Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel. The elements are from the Hotel Biron (The Rodin Museum) and from the courtyard of the last home of Camille on Ile St. Louis. The photographs were taken in 2002 when I first lived there. The title translates to "She Is No Longer Waiting" (or 'in waiting', which is the second layer of meaning).
This piece was awarded First Place in the Fine Art Architecture category at the Prix de la Photographie Paris competition (PX3).
A full size print is in the archives of the Rodin Museum, and a smaller framed print is with a descendant of the Claudel family, the President of the Camille Claudel Association.
Prints are available through Emma Lang at SOTA or you can contact me directly.
