Forging : Origins
There is a lot of conjecture as to the origins of everything or anything, especially life. Elements come together under unseen forces, always to create something much much greater than the sum of its parts. Even ideas have curious beginnings. Could they be signals from the unified field of consciousness that we receive and then combine with our individual experiences? We simply don't know. The desire to understand origins is something in which we can share and unite.
The images in the Forging series were created using oil paint only. I captured the formations as separate layers and then combined them digitally. They are, in essence, a time lapse of the painting process as some layers of paint were moved and transformed before the next capture, or before adding the next paint colour.
