Wanderer : Fouffie 1
The welfare of cats has always been a top priority for me. Wherever I have lived, be it Canada, France or the UK, I am always on the lookout for any cat that looks lost, hungry, injured or just simply in need of some company. Fouffie, however, is not one of those cats. She belongs to the French family that lives next door and is a bit of a diva and an opportunist, begging for extra food. But she is the sweetest and most graceful cat that has found its way into my life. She is also incredibly photogenic and begs to be immortalised in paint, and so I give you "Mlle Fouffie de Paris".
The background was painted with various tools and techniques other than brush work. As for the cats in this series, Winsor and Newton (Series 7) 000 brushes and water mixable oil paints have been used for all of the facial and fur details.
